Frequently asked questions.
What services does PSP Asphalt offer?
We specialize in all aspects of asphalt surfacing, including tarmac laying, brickwork, kerb installation, driveways, car parks, roadways, and commercial paving projects.
Is your team experienced?
Absolutely. Our team of ten skilled professionals is highly experienced in the precise laying of tarmac, brickwork, and kerbs. The team is headed up by Jack who brings strong leadership and years of hands-on expertise to every project. Under his guidance, we ensure each job is completed to the highest standard, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Do you provide free estimates?
Absolutely. Steve Nicholson or Jack Surcouf our Estimators, will visit your site, assess the work needed, and provide a detailed, no-obligation estimate.
How long is my estimate valid for?
Our estimates are valid for 180 days from the date of issue (unless stated otherwise). This gives you plenty of time to review the details and plan your project without feeling rushed. If your project is delayed beyond that period, we’re happy to reassess and provide an updated quote.
How long before I can drive on it?
In most cases, you can drive on new asphalt within 24 to 48 hours after the job is completed. This allows the surface time to cool and begin curing properly. Asphalt continues to harden over several weeks, light vehicle traffic after this initial period is typically safe. To ensure the best long-term results, we recommend avoiding heavy vehicles, sharp turns, and parking in the same spot for extended periods during the first few days.
How do I prevent scuff marks?
While new asphalt is designed to be durable, some minor scuffing or marking can occur, especially during the early curing period. This is normal and usually caused by sharp turns, heavy loads, or stationary tires on hot days. As the asphalt continues to harden over time, it becomes more resistant to scuffs and marks. Following our after-care recommendations will help keep your surface looking its best and performing well long-term.
How long will my project take?
Timelines vary depending on the size and scope of the job. Once we assess your project, we’ll provide a clear schedule—and we always aim to stick to it.
Are you insured?
Yes. PSP Asphalt is fully insured, and all of our work is carried out in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
Do you handle both residential and commercial work?
